Stansfeld Scott to Manage New Brands with The Wine Group Acquisition
Stansfeld Scott has strengthened their Californian wine portfolio with brands recently transferred from Treasury Wine Estate to The Wine Group. Beringer Main & Vine, Beringer Founders' Estate, Coastal Estates, and Meridian, are four exciting new brands that collectively showcase the appeal of California vineyards.
Early March of this year, Treasury Wine Estate licensed the above brands to US wine producer The Wine Group (TWG) as part of an ongoing revitalisation of its American operations. While the $100 million deal allows Treasury Wine Estates the ability to focus on the growth of premium brands within their portfolio, the licence agreement also boosts The Wine Group’s lower-end wine portfolio. Chief Executive, Cate Hardy, said the "Adding these brands complements TWG's leadership in the value segment alongside our growing portfolio of premium wines, introducing more consumers to our high-quality wines at every price point." - Syndey Morning Herald
Caribbean Area Manager for Wines, Steven Boderek, commented, “Stansfeld Scott is very excited to be able to manage Beringer Main & Vine, Beringer Founders' Estate, Coastal Estates, and Meridian for the Caribbean and LATAM. Beringer has such a diverse SKU line up which we believe we can take to the next level in the region.”
