The Most Renowned Gavi Producer
Located in a small growing area in northwestern Italy, on the steep slopes of the Ligurian Apennines, La Scolca is an iconic producer of Gavi with 100+ years experience. The 62-acre estate, owned and directed by Giorgio Soldati and his daughter Chiara, is an artisanal winery, which pioneered modern, controlled vinification in stainless steel to preserve the subtle fruit of the Cortese grape. Not only did La Scolca put Gavi wines on the map but the winery's black label which has its own trademark "Gavi dei Gavi" since 1969, represents the finest expression of Gavi.
